- Cheryl Grampa, a 46-year-old former teacher at Cooper City Elementary
School has been stripped of her teaching license after she allegedly
offered her students grade enhancements and rewards in exchange for
massages. At least one of those massages involved her breasts and
vaginal area.
According to Broward County school administrators, Grampa was stripped
of her ability to teach in the state of Florida after investigators
concluded that she engaged in inappropriate conduct with her students.
Although it doesn't appear criminal charges were ultimately pursued in
the case, Grampa was initially suspended from her job in February of
2011 after she reportedly traded rewards for massages from her students
during the 2009-2010 school year.
Investigators say the situation took an even more inappropriate turn
when one of her students massaged her breasts and vaginal area in
exchange for a "reward."
Grampa reportedly resigned from her position at the school after two
psychological evaluations performed in March and November of 2011
determined that she was 'unfit for duty as a classroom teacher.'
Grampa, who now resides in Bellaire, Texas, did not attend the hearing on her case.
